Corian® Strikes the Right Notes for the Hallé at St Peter's, Ancoat

Corian® fabricator Apex Shopfitting and Joinery recently helped City Build Manchester Limited finish renovating St Peter's Church in Ancoats.

The Church is a The Grade II listed building which needed updating in a manner which was in keeping with the historic surroundings whilst at the same time improving the acoustics to provide the world-famous Hallé Orchestra with their own place for rehearsing and recording - a first for them after 155 years.

Corian® was used extensively as radiator panels. From the photo above you will see that sections of Corian® have been routered out to form delicate patterns that combine the functionality required with a design in keeping with the Church's look and feel.

In addition pods" were dropped into the space for "Brew-cupboards". The smart tea point areas were clad in Corian®.

Whilst Corian® is often associated with very modern styling, its use in this ancient Church setting shows perfectly that designers are able to use it in all manner of applications due to its versatility.
