How do our staff get the new Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) cards?
What is the issue?
The generic Construction Related Occupation (CRO) card will expire on 30th September 2017. This means that construction contractors will need to prove they have the training and qualifications required to carry out their job and apply for a new card which is correct for their occupation.
When and Where?
How can this seminar help you?
On 31st August 2017 (Leeds) and 1st September 2017 (Milton Keynes) we will be hosting 2 seminars by Robert Hudson, National Association of Shopfitters (NAS) Director, to assist you in understanding what you need to do to ensure your staff can apply for a new card through the National Skills Registration Scheme for the Shopfitting and Interior Contracting Industry (SICCS).
“The removal of the CRO card affects over 230,000 CRO card holders. In many cases CRO card holders will be required to register for existing or newly developed qualifications. In other cases, card holders will be asked to move to one of the CSCS’s Partner Card Schemes that are more appropriate for their occupation. For some, where their occupation is not construction related or no suitable qualifications exist, a CSCS card will no longer be issued.
The NAS are affiliate members of CSCS Ltd and are pleased to welcome Corian® fabricators who are current CRO cardholders into our scheme. The purpose of this event is to find out what steps your respective companies need to take to continue working unhindered.
I look forward to meeting you at Leeds on the 31st August and Milton Keynes on the 1st September.”
- Robert Hudson, NAS Director
