Here is another round up of how Corian® has been used for products other than worktops. There are some very creative people out there!
One of our fabricators Counter Productions have made this beautifully unusual vanity which mixes natural stone with Corian®. This was a bespoke piece for award winning interior designer Mark Nicholas Design.
The LOW COLLECTION designed for VITEO OUTDOORS is an entirely new outdoor and atrium furniture line made from DuPont™ Corian® that offers a new perspective thanks to its direct relationship with the floor. These low seating and reclining options enable a different perception of the environment and create a specific atmosphere and a holistic feeling for nature. A nice concept for relaxation but when you’ve finished your book you might need a helping hand to get up!
International design brand Sarah Angold Studio, London have an exclusive range of handcrafted fashion accessories and some of the pieces include Corian® like this Mara necklace of brass, Corian® and acrylic. Inspired by graphic shapes, mathematical structures and industrial processes her studio fuses the latest technical and digital material innovations with intricate hand-craftmanship.
With most runs capped at thirty, every piece is engraved with its own production number adding to the uniqueness. A favourite among celebrities and stylists worldwide these accessories would not look out of place at any red carpet event.
Designed from two very different and contrasting materials, ORIGIN is a two-part pendant lamp made from natural wood and partially recycled Corian®. Its creator is furniture and product designer Gregg Parsell, a graduate from Nottingham Trent University in England who currently works at Tagg Furniture.
Handmade from thermoformed Glacier White Corian® and hardwood American Black walnut, the ORIGIN pendant light exudes elegance. Its two contrasting materials can easily be taken apart, and once the product reaches its end of life it can be recycled separately, keeping its environmental impact low. Inspired by the shapes of seedpods, designer Gregg Parsell intends his luminaire to hang as a symbol for the beginning of life and the flow of nature.
